In my painting the primary objective is simply to convey to the viewer the beauty of our environment and to evoke the emotional responses we all, as humans, have when we see the play of light and shadow across trees, lakes and fields. As far as technique, I am concerned with style as opposed to the whims of fashion and ignore ‘fads’ and ‘trends’ in art. I believe wholeheartedly that “a thing of beauty is a joy forever”.
