Tim De Rose has a lifetime creative streak. From a very young age he was drawn to the arts and started drawing, painting and acting. Now Tim makes his living primarily as a potter with his wife Diane Creber at Wilton Pottery. In the off season he paints large canvases exploding with colour.
Every year the paintings change depending upon his mood and his influences. He often paints trees and groups of trees, whether they are discovered in Newfoundland, Kenya, or in his own backyard. Many layers of paint create a sense of depth to his work.
“I almost always use little dots in the background to suggest all the colours you see in the air”.
Tim’s intuitive sense results in unique landscape portraits. As a potter and a painter, Tim is living the true life of an artist.
