Harold was always interested in art from an early age. While he was at McGill University he took several art courses which he has found very helpful to this day. It was not until the late 70’s that he began to study art more seriously. For seven years he spent most of his weekends painting with accomplished artists. He paints in a rather “loose” manner using mostly larger brushes. He especially enjoys painting light.
He paints mostly on location in the Denbigh area throughout the four seasons. It is not unusual to find him hiking through the woods in winter or paddling across a lake in summer looking for that special scene to paint. He has had many successful shows in the Kingston and Ottawa area.
